Since October 2017, all children accommodated in “Pedro Arrupe” House have started weekly visits to The International School of Belgrade (ISB) twice per week. ISB was founded in 1948 as an independent, co-educational international day school that enrolls students from ages three to eighteen. As an authorized IB World School, ISB provides a high-quality, college-preparatory education with an emphasis on internationalism and global responsibility. The curriculum is designed to serve a multi-national student body using English as the language of instruction.

By participating in sporting activities, our beneficiaries are making new friendships and getting a new perspective on youth culture in Serbia. For the ISB students, it’s a great opportunity to interact with people from a new culture and learn more about the refugee children’s experiences first hand.

The cooperation between ISB and the “Pedro Arrupe” House was established thanks to the City Centre for Social Welfare in Belgrade, Palilula Department.
