{"id":4977,"date":"2017-10-24T11:40:05","date_gmt":"2017-10-24T11:40:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/jrs.rs\/united-in-helping\/"},"modified":"2022-09-29T15:41:01","modified_gmt":"2022-09-29T15:41:01","slug":"united-in-helping","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jrs.rs\/en\/united-in-helping\/","title":{"rendered":"United in helping"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jesuit Refugee Service Serbia and Universit\u00e0 Cattolica del Sacro Cuore from Italy have signed a <strong>cooperation agreement<\/strong> to create opportunities for their students to participate in internship programs in Serbia.<\/p>\n<p>Our mission is to accompany, to serve and to advocate for the rights of refugees and other forcibly displaced persons. To accomplish our mission, we need help from others, especially from young people from other European countries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust one first-hand encounter with refugees is more valuable than dozens of news reports, pictures or video clips. In this way, we help decrease xenophobia and intolerance toward refugees which is present in many European countries,\u201d said Adrian Nikacevic, JRS County Director.<\/p>\n<p>This cooperation will enable young people to meet and spend time with those in need by directly working with them.
