On Sunday, March 17, in Belgrade resort Ada Ciganlija, together with volunteers and members of the Ukrainian community and their friends we celebrated „Masnicja“, festival traditionally celebrated in Ukraine before the beginning of the Easter fast.

Ukrainian families met in Ada to expand the circle of acquaintances, chat, celebrate, eat our delicious home-made dishes, and collect donations for the rehabilitation and prosthetics to war victims.

There were many different groups of Belgrade citizens around us, each with its own reason to celebrate or have a picnic. But from time to time, they came up to us, asking for our happening, treated us and donated.

Everyone praised the food. Quite a lot! Therefore, all thanks to our volunteers for preparing it. (And yes, next time we will need twice the size of the table for food offerings)

Thanks to all for you for your generous donations. More than 60.000 dinars have been collected for the “Superhumans Center” for rehabilitation of war victims in Ukraine.

For many participants, the existence of this place was a real discovery. I am glad that you found out about it, and we hope that next time even more of us will gather, and we will prepare more entertainment for the children.
