Behind every successful activity, project, or support programme are people who generously dedicate their time, knowledge, and energy to helping others. That is why we would like to shine a spotlight on our volunteers, whose contribution is one of the greatest strengths of our organisation.

We are delighted to welcome three new volunteers to our team. Their willingness to dedicate their free time to supporting refugees, migrants, and other forcibly displaced people is a powerful example of solidarity and compassion. At a time when many people face the challenges of adapting to a new environment, every gesture of support can make a meaningful difference.

Volunteers do more than help deliver activities. They contribute to creating an environment where people feel welcomed, accepted, and respected. Through everyday communication, the exchange of experiences, and practical support, they build bridges between different cultures, languages, and life experiences. Their engagement shows that inclusion is not just an idea, but an ongoing process built through concrete actions, mutual trust, and a willingness to help one another.

We are sincerely grateful to all our volunteers. Their dedication reminds us that small actions can have a significant impact and that communities grow stronger when their members actively help create opportunities for others. Through volunteering, we not only support those who need it, but also work together to build a society based on understanding, respect, and equal opportunities.

Serbian Language Classes Starting in November

With the support of our volunteers, we are happy to announce a new cycle of Serbian language classes for foreign nationals, starting in November.

For refugees and migrants who have continued their lives in Serbia, learning Serbian can be one of the most important steps towards greater independence and social inclusion. Knowing the language makes everyday communication easier, improves access to education, healthcare, and other essential services, and helps people connect with those around them. It can also strengthen their sense of security and confidence, giving them more opportunities to participate actively in community life.

The programme is designed for young people and adults who wish to improve their Serbian language skills, regardless of their previous experience. We aim to create a welcoming and supportive learning environment where participants can progress at their own pace, practise communication, ask questions, and develop confidence in using the language.

We believe that learning a new language is about much more than acquiring vocabulary and grammar. It is an opportunity to meet new people, exchange experiences, build relationships, and develop a sense of belonging. Often, small, everyday interactions are the first steps towards feeling accepted and connected to the community we live in.

As we prepare for the start of the classes, we look forward to meeting our future participants and to the new conversations, experiences, and connections that this programme will bring.

We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to feel accepted, participate in community life, and find their place within it.
