Ukrainian refugees in Serbia form a diverse and widespread community, with the largest populations accommodated in Belgrade and Novi Sad. They come from different backgrounds, spanning various ages and educational levels, each bringing unique experiences and facing distinct challenges. Among them are many women, single mothers with children, and elderly individuals, all of whom require targeted support to navigate their new reality.

To help them rebuild their lives, our project focuses on strengthening their capacities through psychosocial support, language training, and skill development. Learning the local language is a crucial step in their journey, allowing them to integrate more easily into Serbian society and participate in daily life with greater confidence. Beyond language, developing new skills and gaining employment opportunities provide them with a sense of purpose and the ability to support themselves and their families.

However, the project extends beyond individual empowerment. True integration happens when refugees become active participants in the communities that welcome them. By fostering social cohesion and creating opportunities for engagement, we not only uplift the refugees but also strengthen the society as a whole. As they build connections, contribute to the local economy, and share their rich cultural heritage, they help shape a more inclusive community.
