We want to share an inspiring story about Reza, a young artist who has overcome numerous challenges on his life journey and achieved his dreams. His story is a reminder of the strength of the human spirit and the power of community.

Reza was accommodated in the JRS Integration House “Pedro Arrupe” in 2017 as an unaccompanied minor. During his stay, he successfully completed elementary and high school. After turning 18, Reza became one of the first beneficiaries of the JRS Transitional Accommodation for young refugees and asylum seekers.

Reza came to Serbia seeking a safe place and a new opportunity for life. He quickly found support and friends who helped him adapt to his new environment. Although he missed his home and family, Reza showed incredible courage and determination to carve out his place in the world.

Over the years, his determination brought him success in education. He made friends at school and developed his talents. His passion for art and his talent did not go unnoticed – he successfully enrolled in the Faculty of Applied Arts.

This year, Reza received a travel document. This allowed him to participate in an adventure that would mean a lot for his further education. With his professors and colleagues, he traveled on an excursion to France, where he had the opportunity to visit numerous museums and admire the works of great artists like Van Gogh, Monet, and Picasso. Each museum visit was a source of inspiration and motivation for him, confirming that art is a universal language that connects people.

This journey was not just a cultural experience; for Reza, it represented the fulfillment of a dream. He had the chance to discuss the techniques and styles he observed with his professors, which further empowered his artistic vision.

We are proud of Reza and all he has achieved. His story reminds us that with support, courage, and determination, dreams can become reality. Reza is proof that with a little effort and belief in oneself, any obstacle can be overcome.
