The end of the old year and the beginning of a new one often bring a desire to pause and reflect – not only on what lies behind us, but also on the values we carry forward. In a world where crises continue and uncertainty remains part of everyday life, working with people on the move reminds us of the importance of consistency: staying present, building trust, and not giving up on support, even when there are no quick solutions.

Contemporary migration remains a complex reality. Behind political debates and statistics are people who make difficult decisions every day, cope with loss, and try to find safety in new environments. In such a context, support is not always loud or spectacular. Most often, it is reflected in continuity – in open doors, in time dedicated to someone, and in spaces where it is possible to learn, grow, and begin to trust again.

It is in this spirit that our Community Center is entering its second year of work. During its first year, the Center became a place of meeting, learning, and exchange. A space where professionals had the opportunity to strengthen their knowledge and share experiences, and where users could develop new skills, build self-confidence, and take their first steps toward greater independence. Although the results of this kind of work cannot always be expressed in numbers, their importance is evident in the trust that is built and in the community that is slowly growing.

Why are spaces of togetherness important? Because they allow people to pause, ask questions, and be heard, without the pressure of having immediate answers or plans. Such spaces do not solve all problems, but create a foundation for change and a sense of dignity, belonging, and hope.

We enter 2026 with the same conviction that has guided us from the beginning: that solidarity is not a one-time act, but a process. We continue to build a space where people are not merely passersby in a system, but members of a community. Thank you for following us, supporting us, and walking alongside us.
